{50} years together, you still get to me

This beautiful couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary a could of weeks ago. Love is a beautiful thing. If only we were all as lucky. Congratulations to you both!

I spent the afternoon with this family and it was such a joy. They have been close friends for a few years now and love them. It was a pleasure capturing your family photos.

Coloradans at heart

I spent an afternoon up the Thompson Canyon with this wonderful family. They are new to Colorado but are total Coloradans at heart. It has been a pleasure getting to know them. 

Growing up in a small town

 

I had the pleasure of shooting Katie's senior pictures a couple of weeks ago. This was bittersweet. I first met Katie when she was three years old and started taking karate with me. She was very strong-willed and independent from an early age. Katie has a passion about her. It is so clear to see the love she has for her family and friends. She will go far in life and make everyone very proud. Congrats on your senior year Katie!!! Class of 2•0•1•2

In front of the camera

I typically like to stay behind the camera. I am happier there. However, today my little man and I were both "decent looking" and I thought it would be a good time to try a picture of the two of us (Since it has probably been almost a year since I did a posed one of the two of us). Much to my surprise he did not want to. This kid usually poses randomly and says, "Mom, this would make a cute picture". But alas, he wasn't feeling it today. So, I bribed him. I told him that if he went out with me I would let him take some pictures. That did the trick. So, the two close pictures were taken by my son and I think he did an amazing job. :)

 

Starting a blog

So, I thought I would give this blogging thing a try. I am still not entirely sure how to use it or if it will do me any good but I thought it may be a good way to share my experiences as a new photographer. Stay tuned to see what's in store...
